Congratulations to Jennifer Dorney


Congratulations to Jennifer Dorney who successfully defended her PhD thesis on Thursday, May 30th, 2013. The title of her thesis was "Polystyrene: A Potential Standard for Developing In Vitro Cellular Tracking Methods for Nanotoxicology”. The work was carried out in the DIT Nanolab research Centre and was supervised by Dr Gordon Chambers, Prof. Hugh Byrne and Dr. Alan Casey

Jennifer was examined by Prof. Steven Bell Chair of Physical Chemistry, Queen's University of Belfast and her internal examiner was Dr Aaron Mac Raighne of the school of physics, DIT.

Congratulations to Subhash Chandra

Congratulations to Subhash Chandra who successfully defended his PhD thesis, entitled 'Towards Plasmonic Solar Concentration', on 30 April 2013. Subhash's main supervisor was Dr John Doran in the School of Physics at DIT, with associated supervisors at Trinity College Dublin (Dr Sarah McCormack) and at Imperial College London (Dr Amanda Chatten).
